Premier Sports Network launch new athlete management division

Premier Sports Network launch a new talent management division, PSN Athlete Management alongside ex-England & Argentine internationals Mike Brown & Martin Landajo.

Founded in 2015 by Spencer Hidge, Premier Sports Network is a leading private networking platform which brings together senior executives across the elite sports industry through a variety of networking initiatives, with a heavy focus on player care and athlete welfare. Over the last 18 months, Premier Sports Network have also implemented a Life Skills initiative which focuses on delivering educational workshops to academy athletes across several sports, as well as supporting professional athletes away from the pitch and providing them with dual-career and professional development opportunities.

Ex-England international and current Newcastle Falcons full back Mike Brown and ex-Argentine and current USAP Perpignan scrum half Martin Landajo will also act as strategic advisors to PSN’s Athlete Management division. With over a 150 international caps between them, both Mike and Martin have a vast amount of experience within the game and bring an enormous level of expertise when it comes to player welfare within the rugby world.

Commenting on the announcement, Martin Landajo said: "Having relocated a lot during my career and lived outside my country, I have experienced first-hand how important family support and integration is.

“Our goal is to achieve your adaptation to help players focus on the game and perform to the highest standard.

“The fact that PSN have focused on player care over the last 7 years provides us with the best opportunity to assist athletes away from the field."

Mike Brown added: “Working alongside Premier Sports Network to form a new Athlete Management division is very exciting. PSN’s focus on player care within elite sport provides us with a fantastic opportunity to ensure we are offering players the best support possible.

“Concerns around player welfare continue to plague the sport, especially for the younger athletes and when you consider the number of games that people play in this country. It is always important to look at the game in terms of our duty of care, how you can change it and take it out of the players’ hands by having good people actually look after you.”

PSN aim to take a human approach to representation and support athletes away from the pitch, with a focus on long-term planning, mentoring and transitions outside of sport, and strive to ensure that athletes can reach their full potential at every stage of their career. PSN hold trusted relationships with the best-known sports organisations and global brands around the world, meaning the agency can offer the very best representation services to clients when it comes to global playing opportunities, contract negotiations, transfers, and commercial opportunities.
